Research group
The research project CHILD – Children History Italian Life Documentation aims to focus on the everyday lives of children and adolescents during the early years following the First World War (1918–1922), a period which, despite the context of restored peace, represents a continuation of the war without armed conflict. It also describes a laboratory in which the ‘totalitarian seduction’ formed during the war spreads throughout society. The research is closely linked to historiographical perspectives that have moved beyond military and geopolitical figures and events, focusing their attention on ‘minor subjects’ (children and adolescents), long considered marginal to social life and often erased from collective memory.
